Important notice for Farmlands shareholders.

You may be aware we are moving closer to the latest deployment in our business transformation programme,
Braveheart. I’m writing to you to outline some of the changes you may experience over the coming weeks
and months.

The Braveheart Programme is ambitious and touches every part of our co-operative. To be ambitious, we
have to expect there will be some teething problems as we work to ensure we have a solution that gives
both shareholders and staff the best experience possible. Your ongoing support is appreciated and I ask for
patience with our people as they learn our new ways of working.

Here are some of the key points you need to be aware of.

Choices Rewards is having a break for three months
From 1st August until 31st October, the Choices Rewards Programme is going on ‘holiday’ as we transfer
Choices Rewards from our old systems across to our new platform, Microsoft Dynamics 365.

From 1st November, our shareholders will be able to enjoy a new and improved loyalty rewards programme
that will provide you with a faster, more efficient redemption service.

While you will not be able to earn Choices Rewards Points on co-operative spend during this ‘holiday’
period, you will be able to redeem your Points on vouchers and e-vouchers with selected Card Partners.

Unfortunately, earning Choices Rewards during the holiday would have caused issues, including being
unable to access MyFarmlands for balances and redemption, being unable to redeem goods or earn
Air New Zealand Airpoints Dollars™ and earn rates would have varied as we would need to be operating on
two Point of Sale systems. We want to provide you with a simple, clear offer.

Please note that as you still have the option to redeem your Choices Rewards Points, your Points will expire
as normal during the ‘holiday’.

Changes to your in-store experience
We are rolling out a new Point of Sale system across our network over the coming months. Our stores will
soon be operating off the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform which will provide shareholders with a more
streamlined service. Once we have this system across all of our stores we will have more options to service
you effectively and efficiently.

Changes to your Farmlands statement
Based on feedback, shareholders will see subtle changes to our statement from 1st October. We’re making
these changes for your benefit and from October, statements will be delivered via our new system. The new
look will be explained in detail via an accompanying attachment with your email statement (a hard copy will be
provided to those with mailed statements).

Shareholders that map their own category codes will need to review the coding and we have worked directly
with farm accounting software companies to make this simpler for you.
