Molly is a recent Lincoln University graduate with a strong background in agriculture. Her upbringing on a sheep and beef farm in Dannevirke sparked her passion for plant and soil science where she focused most of her studies throughout her Bachelor of Agricultural science with (First Class) Honours in Soil Science. After completing the Farmlands Horticulture Summer Internship in Te Puke over 2024/25, Molly has been immersed in the kiwifruit industry with Farmlands in the Bay of Plenty ever since. With her passion for long-term soil health and nutrient use efficiency, Molly sees this as an opportunity in the kiwifruit industry to learn more about and work at the forefront of developing more sustainable ways to grow such a valuable export crop. In her role as a Technical Advisor, Molly is thoroughly enjoying meeting growers, networking within the industry and learning as much as she can with a fresh view on things.
“The most rewarding part of my job is building relationships with shareholders and learning what makes them tick, why they choose this lifestyle and understanding how Farmlands and I can best add value to their businesses…”
Outside of work, Molly enjoys spending time with family and friends, going home to the farm, playing hockey and exploring the outdoors.
