Farmlands Gumboots Up

Farmlanders across the country wore their gummies to work in April to raise money and awareness for mental health.

The national Gumboot Friday campaign was the brainchild of mental health advocate and New Zealander of the Year Mike King, with all proceeds to go to his I Am Hope charity to fund counselling sessions for young people.

To help this great cause, Farmlands joined with Skellerup to give $5 from every pair of Red Bands sold in-store to support the initiative.

The Energy team at Christchurch Support Office organised awesome events and fundraisers for the day, including a raffle and a ‘guess the lollies in the jar’competition, with an amazing cake going to the winner. Despite the rain, plenty of staff went to nearby Nunweek Park to take part in the gumboot throwing competition and team walk.
