We're asking shareholders, Card holders, suppliers and people in our rural communities across the country to send us a photo that captures the real, authentic and ever moving moments of rural life.


Every year rural New Zealand keeps moving. Rural never rests, and neither do its people. This year's calendar is about showcasing that, in your words and through your eyes.


Twelve photos will be chosen to feature in the 2027 Farmlands calendar, with each selected photographer receiving a $50 Farmlands gift card.

What we’re looking for

Not the perfect shot. The real one.

The momentum of rural New Zealand, the work, the care, the resilience. Close-up details of hands and tools, or the wide open country around you. Whatever tells the story.

The drive before sunrise. Mahi getting done. The bit of your day you'd actually miss if it stopped.

We're after images that feel active, honest and always in motion. Not posed or staged. The kind of moment that happens on your place most days, that you might not think twice about, but tells the real story of rural life.

We'll ask a few quick questions about it too. Not for the sake of it, but to do your photo justice and tell your story.

  • Submissions close 6 September 2026.
  • Your photo, your work, no stock images. High resolution, at least 300dpi at print size.
  • By submitting, you're giving us the OK to use your photo and story in the calendar and Farmlands marketing.
